Reviews and other news...

An article on Landed was recently published in the winter issue of Skyscraper magazine (Issue 29). In a rare moment of clarity, Landed members answered questions for it. There's also an Arab on Radar feature in the same issue.http://www.skyscrapermagazine.com

Our next CD, Liver and Lungs for Corleone Records is at the plant. It's an hour or so of Landed tracks - 5 taken from out-of-print vinyl releases spanning the years 1997-2007, and 1 brand new track from the summer of 2008. All tracks remastered for maximum satisfaction. Tracks: Osama Oxy Contin, Dirty Bomb, Blow Your Burger, Creeping Hand, Tip of the Whip, Fuck Seatbelts Fuck Ralph Nader.

Most recently, Landed has just returned from snow-swept western PA where we were undertaking the first recording sessions for our next album (of completely new material). The main line-up on this record is St. Jacques, Pelletier, Kyack, and Greenlee --- and will have further appearances from other beer mules of Providence past and present. Drink up.

Six Finger Satellite's Half Control is now available for purchase as a digital download. The entire line-up of 6FS on this record features members of Landed, and notably during this period (1999-2001) what distinguished one band from the other was whether J. Ryan or Dan St. Jacques were singing and commanding the chaos.

This is solid rock recorded mostly in 2001 and finished off in 2007-08. A raunchy, unflinching 6FS lineup that started a fist-fight with that half of the crowd you hate. Ryan/Pelletier/Greenlee/Kyack. A number of online retailers are selling this, including Fina-music for MP3 and Boomkat for FLAC and MP3. Full length previews are available at Last.fm. CD/LP street date announced soon. Watch for the 2009 6FS line-up: Ryan/Pelletier/Loper/St. Jacques. Incredible.

In other news, the next Landed CD Liver and Lungs is almost ready. We'll announce the release date soon.

The Landed website has been redesigned for simplicity's sake. The STORE link will now take you to the Shawn Greenlee website.

Out now is the new Landed CD, titled How Little Will It Take on Load Records. This CD compiles many Landed vinyl releases along with some compilation and bonus tracks (including a fly blown out 3inch CD). Plus a 20-page booklet with text by Sam McPheeters and lots of live photos.

Landed has just finished recording a new 10-minute track titled Blow Your Burger which will be released on a forthcoming CD via Corleone Records (another compilation of vinyl releases). The track is psychotic... like Tangerine Dream made a baby with Brainbombs during the 1970s at an Italian Disco club. Featuring St. Jacques, Greenlee, Kyack, Pelletier, and J. Ryan.

Stay psyched! Landed members are training for heavy recording sessions in the dead of winter, with a new album slated for sometime in 2009.
